Well....I now fully understand why people who wear bifocals do things more frequently with their head up; it's not the innate pride of all those years that they've already been through, things they've already done, and kids and grand-kids (not yet,hopefully not for a LONG time,) NO, it's the simple fact that the raise of the head is what will allow them to read the computer keyboard, see the small print on the menu, and do all those other things that they do. And things that get REALLY hard to do without your bifocals on. I resolve that I will wear my corrective lenses proudly, will wear my grey hairs as individual badges of honor, tokens of every hard-won war of parenting, and live with all the grace I possibly can; that's not hard, is it? Can't be any damned harder than what's come already.
