I've talked before about the Koreans being oddly indiscriminate with regard to the American culture they emulate and adapt. I came up with another example of this during election time recently, when one of the campaign vehicles for a candidate was blasting away their jingle, all to the tune of the Village People's "YMCA." Once again, of course, the words were changed, but you get the idea. Although, too, a lot of people seem to be telling me, "you need to get out and see the rest of the country," which I probably will, at some point, if for no other reason than to relieve myself of the notion that Korea is all one huge commercial enterprise. And if indications are as they seem, our Lotte Mart, at least, has installed new enclosed coolers to keep the meat and seafood in. And more of what's on the shelves is actually wrapped. Maybe I'll try it. Maybe. And for any family members, looking at this and pondering my real needs, I have two words for you; linen shirts. end of May, and it has been so a%s-kickingly hot it's unbelievable. According to some of the kids, the almanacs are saying its supposed to only get worse before it gets better. Yippee. We also saw off my good buddy Russ over the weekend, a guy worth his weight in real intelligence, as far as I'm concerned. Godspeed, and good graphic noveling, bud. See you on the bestseller list, hopefully not in the same category! I was trying to think if I had actually, in all this time, failed to mention something I wanted to, and at this point, I don't think I have. But odd diet and bizarro health-care practices aside........eh, I can hang, no sweat.
