In case you missed it, Hasbro of Great Britain has--GASP--REWORKED MONOPOLY!!! Yes, folks, now instead of the piles of play money, the British version of Monopoly comes with debit cards, incluing a faux Visa imprint, and a card reader. Sigh. Is not a DAMNED thing sacred in this world?! How are we to regard our reality, when even a good fantasy is deemed to need a revamp?! What's next, the edited version of Peter Pan using the current FAA guidelines as a reference? Where the hell would Peter Pan have put the seat belts and on-board oxygen? Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang with shoulder harnesses and side curtain air bags, anyone? Although, come to think of it, Chitty DID have the water flotation gizmo--the NHTSA is probably STILL working on that, backed by Ted Kennedy. Bad Pete, no biscuit.
Ah, well, keep your versions of Monopoly with the paper money just for old times sake. The march of time apparently spares noone or nothing.
