Week four, class number three--still hangin' on to that A, with a 95% average. I'm not perfect, but I think the fact that I'm doing this well speaks volumes about what's right. And having attempted to put up a door in the house today, with what one would qualify as probably no better than so-so results, I think whatever "efficacy" I might have ever had for working with my hands is slipping away, day by day. The theorists would say my rehearsal factor isn't as frequent as it used to be. So much the better, I guess, when you come right down to it. Speaking of theorists, I read about Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory from 1999; I swear, the more I read of the guy, the more sense he makes. It could be he's the only one of the major theorists who's had anything at all to say about the influence of computers, the internet, or this whole new age of a "small, small world," we're living in. (stop me before I break into SONG!!!!) Or the fact that that reciprocal causation still rings true with me. I'm not sure; the man makes the right points, though, that's for sure. I'm still not sure I'd put him up there with Lance Armstrong and Sophia Loren, but he probably wouldn't really enjoy being in that crowd anyway. Perhaps it's about how much really matters when it comes to us as people, and how we learn. For whatever odd reason though, my typing skills seem to be going to sh*t lately; it's taking a lot more tries to lay down a relatively error-free sentence. Note to self; make sure and use Write Point, U of Phoenix' APA style-checker before the next paper gets handed in. And dad? according to Cheryl, he's loopy as a barnstormer, and she's probably taken more than anyone in her shoes should, and she still manages to be hanging in there. Which, of course, is not to say she's enjoying herself, I'm sure, but she's making the best of it, even with the holidays coming up. The holidays; man, this is the first time my dad's been like this, at least since I've been home. On the up-side, he's in good hands, although whoever is shaving him with a blade is making his face look like he's gone through a machine, to borrow from Bugs Bunny. I heard the other night about this "Victoria's Secret" prime-time TV special that was supposed to be on to show off the new stuff. I think I might have been the only guy who wasn't gay who didn't bother watching. I'm still waiting for the new spin-off store, "Wagner's Secret," with the collection of steel bras, chain mail mesh thongs and horned helmets. Last I heard the collection didn't clinic very well, but I'll keep my hopes up anyway. The "Ride of the Valkyries" intimates collection could be a bigger draw than anyone thought; then again, maybe not. The chafing from the chain mail'd probably be a liability hazard.

I still am so PROUD of you for getting back in school. Working on my grad degrees has been one of the most fulfilling events of my adult life...

Kudos to you!
