Avenue action from this year.
This is actually a Dream Cruise shot from years ago, but epitomizes the action and spirit like no other shot I know of.
A Nissan Skyline, rarely seen outside of Japan, but revered as sports cars go.
A really trick "Squarebird" Thunderbird, probably a '59 or '60.
400 cubic inches, a 4-barrel carb, and dual exhaust; ergo, a 4-4-2.

Yeah, I know what I've said, but still, it wouldn't be August in Detroit without the Woodward Dream Cruise, as is espoused on a semi-regular basis here. Gas prices being what they have been this summer, more people found a place to park and just enjoy each other's cars, rather than cruising, (to some extent,) but the action was still going on, up and down Woodward Avenue. Martha and I found a nice, shaded spot to sit in, and watch the traffic go by. This is as much specatator as participant action. More to come, of course, as soon as I figure out where some of the other pictures I took are. Coulda sworn they were here.......
