If a car wears this badge, (or any similar one,) it would be like me wearing a Chanel tie. The respect it would earn in some circles would be immediate. Ergo, the irony here is almost crushing. The CEO of the company that designed some of the most beautiful cars ever created, everything from Ferraris to the Cadillac Allante, (okay, admittedly not PF's finest hour, in my estimation, but not bad,) is killed riding a Vespa, because the driver coming the other way wasn't watching what he was doing. The nature of Italian justice being what it is, at least by everything I've heard, the other driver will minimally be cited for having had the poor taste to have done something so offensive. Call the style police.

BREAKING NEWS: PININFARINA CEO KILLED
Andrea Pininfarina, head of the Italian car design company, has been killed in a motorbike crash, sources close to the family have told news agency Reuters. The 51-year-old was chairman and chief executive officer of the company his family founded in 1930.
It is understood that his motorcycle collided with a car about 8:15 a.m. in Trofarello near the northern city of Turin, Italy. He was the grandson of the founder, Battista 'Pinin' Farina.

HEREWITH, A BRIEF HISTORY OF PINIFARINA STYLE.

A Ferrari 375 America
A 1963 Ferrari 250, and, yes, that is Steve McQueen. The 1959 Cadillac Starlight, a custom-bodied special.
A 1953 Nash Healey.
