Okay, so I was wrong.the crush of bodies in Korea is not "unrelenting," if Arirang news is to be believed. Women in Korea, in fact, are putting off the whole marraige and family thing, and heading into the workforce in record numbers. And how does the Korean government see this? As a problem. They're trying to figure out ways to bolster the rate of population growth again. WHAT?!!!! YOU IDIOTS!!!! Don't you friggin realize that you've got way too many bodies already on this postage stamp, and you're worried about pushing the rate of population growth North again?! STOP! STOP NOW!!! THIS DOES NOT NEED TO HAPPEN! In the same newscast, they were talking about how the Soju makers are easing up on the alcohol level. Good grief, where does it all end?! In a sane, sober, functionally modern society, maybe? We can only hope, even if it does require another 10-20 years at least to get the old-school think out of circulation. So Korea is not the lost cause that it may have seemed at some points, and assuming maybe one or two of my kids was paying attention to me, I could have had some influence. Only time will tell.
