There are times when the most important things in life are a great love, and great art. As I have noted, some might opine a bit TOO frequently, I have great love. The painting falls into the latter category, of course, attributed to Georges Lepape. The title is "Robe Optique assortie a' la Carroserie." And that, if you know me at all, is what I classify as a great piece of art. The radiator mascots above are all by Rene Lalique; The first is a Dragonfly, and, no, he didn't do many that were model-specific. (that I know of, anyway,) Love the detail in that one, don't you?! the second is the very first one he ever completed, commissioned for a Citroen 5CV, or "5 horsepower," thus, it is "5 horses." The others are perhaps just me being a man, so sue me. I happen to like them. In any event, beauty in art beats the ugliness of humanity, at times, hands down. And on that account I shall go no further.
