Well, the big thing at this point, I moved, from a 15-story monstrosity that, in its manner, I suppose, is Korean in nature, but unforgivably project in execution, to a little unit, maybe 4 stories, with 4 units per floor. It's a studio, its a good sized place, particularly by Korean standards, and true to real Korean nature, it has no shower stall and no stove. The bathroom is pretty much Jeep-interior washable all around, and I guess as long as that cooktop works, everything's cool. Well, the cooktop should be fine, actually, it's brand-new. The nicer part of it is the fact that I have air-conditioning, so when the Mogis come, as I've been warned they will, probably in July or August, I can leave the windows closed and escape them some. Mogis, for those unenlightened, are Mosquitos in Korea, or, more accurately, these 3-4X Mosquito-esque creatures evidently engineered by McDonnell-Douglas for the Korean market. I haven't seen any yet, with any luck, and air conditioning, I can avoid large infestations of them. The other tale of the week, is another Kelly story. Kelly, in case I haven't told the tale, leapt on my back while I was helping another student at the white board. I still don't know why. But this time, Kelly was looking at my collage, which also has pictures of Martha and the girls on it. She pointed to the picture of Martha, and says, "teacher, mommy?!" I said, "no, anae, wife!" which elicited only, "wife, ahhhhhhhh......" If the concept of a Korean Jew was a reality, I'd say that meant, "well, God forbid anything should ever happen to her, but if it does, let me know! I've got an aunt who'd just LOVE you!" As is, hell, I don't know.......more later.
