I hadn't ever presumed to say anything about a school building, but thus far, I haven't been in one built in 1929, either. Third floor up, no elevators, one hellacious cardio workout. And the clocks, all with Roman numerals, and all keeping (nearly) the correct time, are like something out of another time. In fact they are out of another time. One where I'm sure those same clocks seemed to move a LOT slower than they ever did for me. The kids were actually pretty good, although rumour had it that one of the other schools in Dearborn was on lockdown because of a threat called in to the FBI, threatening to kill all the Muslims. That just wouldn't be at all right. And that, I suppose, HAS changed over the years. And not for the better. You'd think more people wouldv'e gotten the message after Don Imus, but apparently, some people are even dumber than he is. If you don't believe in those whom you fail to understand, you never WILL get the idea that fear is for the unenlightened; or how that whole idea works. But believe me, beauty can extend far beyond that which we create OUTSIDE of ourselves.
