Not a massive amount to report this time around, but some things that I would say bear sharing. One of my corporate ESL clients, in our regular class meeting, wanted me to help him compose an email for shall we say briefly, corporate purposes. The big thing about it, as he was writing, showing me what he wanted to say, was I was thinking, "man, this is real trust!" and in their eyes, I suppose it really is, and I'm happy to have warranted it. I was also subbing in the media center in a school I've talked about before in Dearborn--the place was built in 1933, and the building, inside and out, is absolutely gorgeous, particularly in this day and age of seen-one-seen-'em-all schools. On either wall were two great big murals, almost Diego Rivera-esque in feel, high ceilings, beautiful wood all around......it was a sight. I also received a little flyer in the mail from the American Federation of Teachers that began, "Dear Member,"........I probably should have realized that even as a sub I was a member, but it's not the first thing that crosses your mind when you're in three or four districts in one week. I know the union dues are coming out of my checks. But anyway, the letter was my admonition that the AFT was endorsing Hillary Clinton. In all honesty, I don't think I've registered to vote since I've been back from Korea, and given that Hillary will be the only name on the Democratic primary ballot in Michigan, basically because all the rest of the candidates are protesting some damn issue, what exactly I can't recall, I think I'll just wait until November and all the rest of this madness has subsided. I think Hillary and Obama are pretty similar in the eyes of most people, and I think overall the Republicans allowed themselves to be shot in the foot by eight years of W's shenanigans of one brand or another. The last unpopular war got us Nixon after several terms of Democrats; I'm guessin' the pattern will hold, in its fashion. Classes are also up and going again, no results yet, but I'm hangin' in there, I think.

Hanging in there is good! :) I am on the last leg...my thesis starts the final wrap-up this weekend and will be submitted by the end of April. It's getting closer! :)

I know I have said it before, but I am so proud of you for pursuing your Master's.
