Odd as it may seem, I've been looking for this ad. Thank God for You Tube. It's one of those silly ones that it's almost impossible to get out of your head once you've seen it, even after 25 years. The music, as you may recognize, is a German-worded version of Ronny and the Daytonas' "Little G.T.O." from the surf-era 60s. Unh-huh. Go ahead, call it a rip-off if you like, but it's still amusing, creative, and all those good characteristics I try to propogate. Below is a classic photo from Weegee, a photographer famous for his ability to capture the bizarre and amusing, highlighting in this day and age that the "tramp stamp" is not really a new idea, one could surmise, just.....well, de-commercialized in this age. Imagine that.
